Says Fleur of this work, “Burning Mountain is from a recent trip to Wingen in regional NSW, where I visited the smouldering mountain on the last day before heading back to Sydney.
Walking along the path, I reflected on the stories of kangaroo’s warming themselves on the rocks heated by the subterranean fires underneath and Aboriginal Dreamtime story of a Wonnarua woman weeping tears of fire.”
Finalist in the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award 2020 (contemporary).
Signed on back.
