Says Amy Wright of her painting Inverleigh Silver Gums: “This piece is inspired by the Silver Gum trees that line the Leigh River in Inverleigh, Victoria. Here they grow together en masse, the distant agricultural view being obscured by the linear silver trunks as they recede into the distance. There is no one tree that stands out from the rest. Rather, each with its own whimsy, merge together creating a dappled curtain that lines the reeded banks.”
