I visited Belfast some time ago and my travels around Northern Ireland collectively form an overall experience that resonates with me to this day.
My visits during Winter researching and collecting studies of the topography in colour, texture and form, were the inspiration for my work ‘Remnants of memory’. The painted surface is built up with various forms and materiality, which invokes a conversation about the relationships they have with each other and the overall composition.
Rather than focus on the specifics and physicality of a singular place, I hope to convey an assembled landscape, which is fluid and changeable, as are memories that evolve as time goes by.
