Fleur’s recent visits to Sofala in NSW researching and collecting studies of the topography in colour, texture and form, was the inspiration for her work “The distance between”. The painted surface is built up with various forms and materiality, which invokes a conversation about the relationships they have with each other and as part of the overall composition.

Rather than focus on the specifics and physicality of a singular landscape, Fleur has formed a unique landscape of her own collected experiences of the picturesque NSW area.
