Amy’s landscapes are represented through rich colour, texture and rhythmic abstract patterning, referencing the structure and details of plants and found objects in their natural environments. She captures the ‘unnoticed details’ in the rich Australian bush, where leaves, roots, trunks and flowers are stripped to their simplest form and colour, then built up again through accents of light and shadow, brushstroke and line work to create landscape paintings of intense depth.
