@petal.mag featured Tiarna Herczeg in their latest edition, subtitled The Secret History and exploring themes of heritage, memory and selfhood.
Herczeg`s abstract practice draws on her connection to Country and ancestral memory, exploring both presence and displacement.
Through loose, gestural mark-making and vivid colour, she evokes the emotional charge of place and moment.

We are delighted to present Kate Banazi’s latest body of work, ‘You Get Me’, at the Woolloomooloo gallery from 30 September to 17 October.
This multimodal show follows a period of exploration for Banazi, as she follows the body through figurative representation, to abstraction and back again. Finding the body becomes a game for both the artist and the viewer; what appears as random slowly shows itself to be human.
Many of the show’s pieces present more as sculpture, where even the framing choices refer to the narrative and hold meaning. Glass, acrylic and aluminium contain the works, trapping them tightly in ownership.

As part of her exhibition, `You Get Me`, opening Wednesday 30 September, 5:30pm - 8pm, Kate Banazi has created a series of silk screen prints in support of @womens.girls.emergency.centre
A cause dear to all our hearts, WAGEC is a feminist, grassroots organisation that supports women and families in crisis and advocates for social change in the community.
A limited run of these A4 sized artworks, each hand printed by the artist herself, will be available at the opening for a donation to WAGEC of $25 (or more!).

Belinda Street paints not only what she sees, but what she feels: the shimmer of heat, the memory of footsteps, the echo of presence that lingers long after we pass.
The artist’s brushstrokes move like weather – bold, searching, alive – translating sensation into colour and rhythm. Each gesture speaks of connection and transience, of how place imprints itself upon us.

For Kate Banazi, everything begins with the body. Not only is it the catalyst, but it`s the process, each pull of the silk screen or spray of the paint gun imbues the work with a chaos that mirrors inhabiting the body itself.
`You Get Me`, her latest body of work, explores the figure through distorted lines, limbs, openings, and edges that shift, repeat, and find meanings.
