Belinda Street

In Wyangala, the land holds its own quiet rhythm–light glancing across granite forms, wind bending through grass, the slow turning of time inscribed in every contour. Immersed in this landscape, Belinda Street paints not only what she sees, but what she feels: the shimmer of heat, the memory of footsteps, the echo of presence that lingers long after we pass. The artist’s brushstrokes move like weather–bold, searching, alive–translating sensation into colour and rhythm. Each gesture speaks of connection and transience, of how place imprints itself upon us. Created back in the studio after the residency, this work reflects a dialogue between direct experience and remembered impression, revealing the landscape as a living, breathing presence.
