A stray experience in the present suddenly, inexplicably conjures a memory from the past and before we know it we are caught up in timelines that memory threads through our head. Memories remain alive and times constant current infuses fashion with shapes, motifs, materials, techniques, or decoration, uniting the past and present and teaching us that there is more to time than you can count on the hands of a clock. This concept of temporality permeates this painting", says Lynn Savery of this work.
