COMING SOON.
We are thrilled to announce Curatorial+Co.’s appointment to curate the art collection for the landmark transformation of InterContinental Brisbane, in collaboration with internationally acclaimed architecture and design firm Woods Bagot.
Set within the iconic Harry Seidler-designed building, this ambitious redevelopment will redefine luxury hospitality in the heart of Brisbane, celebrating the city’s distinctive character while honouring its architectural heritage.
Our Art Consultancy team is developing an extensive, site-responsive art collection spanning 324 guest rooms and suites, corridors and public spaces, alongside a spectacular central projection artwork that will become a defining feature of the hotel’s grand atrium.
At the heart of our curatorial approach is a commitment to championing local artists, creating meaningful opportunities for Queensland’s creative community to contribute to this landmark project.
Through a considered selection of existing artworks and new commissions, the collection will celebrate the region’s diverse artistic voices, landscapes and cultural identity.
Working closely with Woods Bagot, we are bringing together art, architecture and storytelling to create an immersive cultural experience that captures the spirit of Brisbane and offers guests a memorable connection to place.
