Reece Bathrooms

Curatorial+Co. has delivered an exciting partnership between Reece Bathrooms and artist Brett Anthony Moore that began with the brand’s flagship showroom at Rosebery Engine Yards and has since grown into a nationwide brand strategy.

The collaboration started when Curatorial+Co. connected Moore with Reece to develop a body of work for the new Rosebery space — three large-scale wall-mounted pieces, Rosella Dusk, Serendipity and the Digital Forest and Conversations with Our Future Selves, alongside two hand-painted basins. Each piece carries Moore’s signature layered paint skins and back-lit acrylic surfaces, materials that shift with the light and movement of the room throughout the day.

The works draw on the landscape around Moore’s farm in Brogo on the New South Wales south coast, translating themes of nature, memory and interconnectedness into a commercial environment more accustomed to fixtures than fine art. An interactive makerspace, where visitors handle colour and material samples directly, extends that sensibility into the showroom experience itself.

As a result of the success at Rosebery, the collaboration has since expanded into something larger. Curatorial+Co. has now overseen the expansion of the partnership into showrooms nationwide, scaling a site-specific commission into an ongoing brand strategy. The new phase includes Moore’s largest light work to date, along with prints, decals, merchandise and a further two custom basins wrapped in his paint skins — a broader design vocabulary built from the same material language that defined the original showroom.

The project is distinguished not by a single commission but a sustained creative partnership, driven by Curatorial+Co.’s consultancy team, across multiple sites and formats. It reflects the consultancy’s broader approach to placing contemporary art in commercial and retail environments, thoughtfully curated to shape how people move through and experience space. For Reece, the result is a showroom environment in which art and design operate as a single proposition, cultivating what the client has described as warmth, personality, and sophistication, an example of how a single site-specific commission can evolve into a broader brand identity through local artists.
