Set within the picturesque landscape of Small Wonder Wines in northern Tasmania, Astra Parker’s Reaching in Return explores the interconnectedness of natural systems and the regenerative cycles of life.
Conceived in response to the theme of habitat regeneration, the sculpture’s sweeping, organic steel forms evoke the continuous cycle of emergence, growth, transformation and renewal. Rising gracefully from the earth before returning to the ground, its interconnected arcs reflect the interdependence of living forms and their environment.
Selected in collaboration with The Artling for this unique setting, the large-scale sculpture’s warm, weathered patina complements the surrounding vineyard landscape. The work creates a harmonious dialogue between art and nature, inviting visitors to contemplate the enduring cycles of life and our connection to the natural world.
