Jasmine Poole and Chris Sewell are a creative duo whose photographic collaborations create intimate hyper-realistic still-life worlds where nostalgia meets culture and kitsch. Poole and Sewell say of their 'Botanical Impossibilities series': “Throughout history flowers accompany us through major events in life – be it birthdays, celebrations, illness – eventually in death. Taking on visual and symbolic queues from Dutch vanitas paintings, 'Botanical Impossibilities' explores both the symbolism behind objects and the act of preserving them.”
