'Tree Tapestry - Interconnected' references a lifelong observation and appreciation for the natural forests. Says Melissa Boughey: "The forest is woven together, like a tapestry, and interconnected to support the health of the whole (not the individual). It is my belief that if we spent more time in nature, if we held our living, breathing planet with the upmost respect that she deserves, then the world would be a much more harmonious place. In my work I hope to inspire a reverence for nature through colour play, tonal shifts and energetic mark-making.
