This body of work is a revisiting of Ana Young’s empirical experience, choosing to address her preoccupation with the increasingly frenetic and at times, uncontrollable, environment we are forced to encounter in our daily lives. Our disengagement with the noise and structure imposed on us is almost beyond escape. As a reaction, Young draws upon stilled moments from her experience in the Australian bush where time is held and delayed. This series creates a place to gather, breathe and slowly walk through moments of silence found within the bedlam of human experience.
