'We Don’t Know One Another but We’ve Met Before' emerged from the remnants of an earlier work, 'Tetrachroma No. II' which was never completely realised. Rather than an ending, the fracture became a continuation—an echo of something unresolved that continued to live beneath the surface of my thinking. When works such as these remain embedded so deeply within the psyche, they begin to ask their own questions: why do certain forms, colours, and sensations refuse to leave us?
The overlapping hues, visible whether illuminated or in darkness, act as emotional residues—physical manifestations of fleeting encounters, fragmented memories, and the subtle impressions accumulated through daily life. Like swatches pulled from the subconscious, the colours drift between recognition and ambiguity, suggesting moments we feel we have experienced before but cannot fully place.
