Brett Anthony Moore

With his distinctive approach to abstract expression, Brett Anthony Moore uses acrylics to produce ‘paint skins’ by blending a thoughtfully selected colour palette. Each paint skin is left to dry and naturally contract, then mounted onto acrylic, and fitted with custom LED lighting. Carefully considering and crafting the shape, structure and luminosity of each piece, Moore’s ultimate sculptural creations act as a portrait of the soul, drawn together in material form as dynamic physical manifestations that encapsulate the essence of individual uniqueness and the many hidden aspects of identity.

Says Moore: “This artwork aims to enhance our perception and understanding of different shades of colour by featuring overlapping hues that result in secondary and tertiary colours, while still concealing their true origins. Framed by the gestural beginnings, the final result is achieved through multiple layers of organic textures, creating a repetitive yet familiar shape.”
