Says Kate Banazi of this work, "The shapes originate from figurative drawings that are broken apart, fragmented, and digitised. Through this process of disassembly, the body is translated into data—flattened, edited, and abstracted by technology. These altered forms are then reconstituted through hand printing and painting, returning them to a tactile, human surface. The work moves back and forth between digital intervention and physical gesture embracing the irregularities of human touch".
