Lilli Waters’ A Sense of Belonging series explores our innate need to be accepted. “Belongingness is a human emotional need. Without belonging, one cannot identify oneself, says Lilli.
By surrounding and immersing her subjects within the natural environment, the photographer gives them a sense of place and reflection of the self. Then turns it all upside down.
