Says Danuta of her work: “I create works that are an abstraction of the reality I find myself in. The final result is usually a total surprise. I let my instincts guide me as I put graphite to paper and channel my emotions. Sometimes one tiny element, a simple mark can change the whole direction of the work and forces me to abandon my initial intention behind the work.

I am inspired by still life, people and explore the natural world. I want my audience to find their own symbols in the work, perhaps moments of memory and nostalgia from their own lives.”
