Says Diana of this work: “This painting is about the process of trusting one’s self. Often, we have too little faith in ourselves and our abilities and we have doubt. We question our thoughts, our feelings. Deep inside though, the answer is always there. If we are prepared to listen to ourselves, we always know.”

Tapping into the spiritual realm that inhabits Diana’s home town of Byron Bay, this painting is a loose and unlaboured offering, a spilling of paint onto the surface, combining line and loosely covered areas in tones that reference the impending summer in Australia and hopefully a more positive year to come. Diana’s work consistently reflects her inner world and as she evolves so new forms and imagery comes to the fore.
