Says Isabelle of her work: “We are collages of experience. Mosaics of memories. Architects of reality. My painting explores the flawed nature of humanity that is due to our biases. The title Visitations of Memories references memory loss and the shapeshifting nature of memory. The inconsistencies that exist within us and the creation of our own realities. The soft blues, watercolour washes and hazy whites create a dream-like feeling in the work. The figure looking beyond, perhaps seeking something forgotten.”
