Curatorial+Co. is dedicated to promoting artistic quality, integrity, accessibility, distinction, experimentation and diversity amongst its 40+ represented artists and monthly exhibition program.
Curatorial+Co. began as a curated online art gallery and exhibition concept supporting emerging artists in 2015 and launched its first permanent exhibition space in Redfern, Sydney, in 2020. Curatorial+Co.’s outstanding exhibition program is now held in its new 300 square-metre gallery space on William St Woolloomooloo, Sydney, providing prominent visibility for its artists since 2023.
Founder and Director, Sophie Vander, is committed to supporting emerging and mid-career artists and their career growth by fostering opportunities both within and beyond the gallery walls through public art projects. In turn, facilitating connections between collectors and artists so that both parties benefit from growth, understanding and appreciation. With 80% of its stable being female-identifying artists, the gallery is passionate about re-correcting the gender divide. Curatorial+Co.’s outstanding exhibition program, art fair participation and art consultancy practice create opportunities for their represented beyond the white wall gallery model.

Sophie Vander is the Founder and Director of Curatorial+Co. – a Sydney/Eora art gallery and art consultancy specialising in contemporary works by emerging and mid-career artists across all creative disciplines. With an eye for discovering new talent, and a deep commitment to facilitating positive art experiences, Sophie works alongside her team to develop artists’ careers through a strong exhibition program, and placing works outside the gallery walls in residential, commercial and public spaces. At the core of Curatorial+Co.’s ethos is connecting new collectors with emerging artists, enabling creative encounters that are inspiring, accessible and future thinking.
Claire Field is an experienced contemporary curator and art consultant who is deeply committed to facilitating art experiences that have a positive effect on people’s lives. Claire is skilled in the conceptualisation and delivering or large-scale public art projects, strategising the art integration at all stages of the project’s development, ensuring inspirational results are achieved. She is a lover of visual narrative, with a penchant for activating spaces to communicate an intended idea, mood, or style. With over 15 years’ experience of working within both the public and private art sectors, Claire holds a Master of Art and Curatorship from Sydney University (2015), and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tasmania (2001). Alexia Fisher is an art and design professional with experience working across the international market. After spending a decade as a successful architect Alexia turned her attention back to her true passion for art and curation. She sees her role as Gallery Manager as being the facilitator between the client’s desires and the artist’s intention. Her priority is to build close, and trusting relationships with artists where so she can help them realise their aspirations. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from the National Art School (2023), a Master of Architecture (2009) and a Bachelor of Environmental Design (2006) from the University of Western Australia. Adriana is a skilled art professional dedicated to fostering lasting relationships between collectors and artists. With her deep appreciation for design, art and film, she is adept in the art world, prioritising impactful spatial storytelling as a bridge between art and people. Adriana’s dynamic experience as a design consultant in building and construction, her editorial contributions to arts publishing, and time in the fashion industry have provided her with a rich visionary perspective in the arts sector. She holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Art History and Film Studies from The University of Sydney (2020) and a Diploma in Design and Architecture from UTS College (2016). Currently pursuing her studies in Art History and Performance at the University of Sydney, Emily is deeply interested in the many unexpected ways humans engage with art in the everyday. Driven by her ambition to make a lasting impact on the art world, Emily aspires to contribute to the development, promotion, and accessibility of art to diverse audiences. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Emily actively engages with the art world by immersing herself in exhibitions, galleries, industry developments, and current art market trends. Gabriela is a Chilean-Australian project manager enthusiastic about delivering large scale projects and facilitating opportunities for artists. With an unconventional background that has led her to the arts, Gabby is passionate about learning from and about changing environments, the interaction of art and people within diverse spaces, and contributing towards successful project outcomes for artists, clients, designers, architects and developers. Arina is an emerging arts professional with experience across art fairs and art editorial fields. She views art as a form of living, seeking meaningful constellations between inner and outer worlds. In her practice, she encapsulates philosophy and spirituality to connect and transcend the receptiveness of an artwork. She cares deeply for the cultural landscape and seeks to unite artists and audiences to originate new dialogues and impact the fabrics of life.
