Curatorial+Co. is delighted to present a new body of abstract work by WA artist, Melissa Boughey.

Says Melissa of her upcoming series, “Inspired by other places but containing the DNA of my daily habits, this body of work reverts to my home ground. The farm where I have grown and nurtured, planted and harvested is intrinsic to who I am and the reoccurring themes of my visual language.

“The vista from the studio, the reflections of paperbarks in the wetlands, the crest over the hill towards the coastal plain, trees and paddocks on the rural drive to the nearest small town, – a tapestry of all the things that inspire me and hold my attention. This is what I lean into, my natural habitat.”
