MEET OUR TEAM. Claire Field is an experienced contemporary curator and art consultant who is deeply committed to facilitating art experiences that have a positive effect on people’s lives. Claire is skilled in the conceptualisation and delivering or large-scale public art projects, strategising the art integration at all stages of the project’s development, ensuring inspirational results are achieved. ⁠

She is a lover of visual narrative, with a penchant for activating spaces to communicate an intended idea, mood, or style. With over 15 years’ experience of working within both the public and private art sectors, Claire holds a Master of Art and Curatorship from Sydney University (2015), and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Tasmania (2001).⁠

Mitchell's work is inspired by beauty found in the mundane. Fields of wildflowers don’t catch his eye but instead the wildflower growing from a crack in the pavement as he wonders down another cement-laden street. From his studio on the Sunshine Coast, Mitchell produces stunning, evocative still life paintings that play with notions of beauty and brute.⁠

He likes to play and subvert the somewhat delicate nature of traditional still life by exaggerating elements of the flowers and vases he paints. Mitchell’s latest series of works pushes this notion further as he embraces more abstract compositions.⁠

New work I did in Collaboration with Corey Thomas @coreythomassculpture for @lansonplaceparliamentgardens curated by @claireofthefields from @curatorialandco .
This beautiful hotel is located in the old Salvation Army printing press across from the Parliament Gardens.

The title is “Letters from country”

A 40-meter ceiling installation, the centrepiece of the Lanson Place art collection.

The site-specific artwork is deeply rooted in Jarra’s cultural connection to Eastern Kulin Nation mark-making and Corey’s expertise in sculptural forms. The piece draws inspiration from the Melaleuca paperbark tree, with slumped acrylic sheets intricately carved with visual language influenced by Boonwurrung and Kulin traditional markings. The layers peel away like pages of a manuscript, unfurling and gliding across the hotel lobby, echoing the rhythmic gesture of wind.

This dynamic piece seamlessly weaves together communication, form, and space, serving as a reflected mirage that dances with light.

We’d also like to acknowledge our assistant Amina Briggs @amina.briggs and Mikhail Rodrick, Ancher architecture office for their work on the project.

Morgan’s artistic practice delves into the mediums of painting and sculpture, deconstructing them to their fundamental elements. He begins with the traditional building blocks of each - pigment, cloth, stretcher bars, stone - then embarks upon a process of reinterpretation, interrogating the supposed value of each part and its role within the widely understood formula of what makes an artwork. ⁠
