Katrina O’Brien’s striking works of ink, acrylic and graphite sway between painting and drawing. Indeed, Katrina sees her artwork as a kind of dance, and a way of delving into her own and others’ inner psyche.

Says Katrina: “This work, in part, is a conversation with Jeff Buckley. None of the works in this exhibition are based on his music, however, I’ve always had a fascination and felt an affinity with him. At least, it’s an imagined affinity based on things I know about his life and his music. I’ve loved his work for a long time – I’ve even delved into his father’s music and life which is a much weirder and messier place – one which I’m still strangely drawn to.”
