Karlien’s latest series of sculptures were created in her native Cape Town. She has spent the past few years back in Africa connecting with her roots and passion for her homeland.

Karlien’s sculptures are concerned with perspectives on social and environmental sustainability. Utilising the visceral and time-capturing qualities of clay and memory, she creates stylised ‘termite-mound’ vessels.
