Says Amber of her work Nightshades Court: “This work is part of my series Courts. It depicts a tennis court, with a mountainous background, a space featured in Tamworth where I shot my video work Are you in There. I painted various paintings from stills of different angles from this video, which was an exploration into these spaces we inhabit. Using bold vigorous brush strokes, the element of human interaction is present in the empty space.”
