Says Mitchell on why his work is DARING: “This painting displays an unforgiving outburst of orange lilies, not so much as a mirror image of the subject, more so the feeling of the colour orange brought out in nature’s flexible attitude, flowers can be stubborn sometimes or they can let wind the take them, one petal at a time.”
