Karlien was inspired to create this work by memories of talismanic dreams whilst out on Country. This piece was hand built in her South Australian studio.

Karlien’s sculptures are concerned with perspectives on social and environmental sustainability. Utilising the visceral and time-capturing qualities of clay and memory, she creates stylised ‘termite-mound’ vessels.
