Theresa Hunt is an enchanting creator. A self-taught oil painter, Theresa’s practice is somewhat of a mystery, even to her. Her works reveal themselves over time as layer upon layer of paint meets the linen canvas below, the scenes depicted come into focus as if the right focal lens has been applied and suddenly everything has a breathtaking atmospheric balance.

Theresa’s deep connection to the ocean and rugged mountains is truly the heart of her work. Every stroke breathes expressions that have been stirred by specific moments, like the serene first light at the beach, an imminent storm seen threatening the horizon, or a headland rising from of an oppressive fog.
