This work will be shown in Darlings 2021, Curatorial+Co.’s annual small works group show. Darlings was created in response to the 2020 pandemic as a joyful way for artists and collectors of all backgrounds to come together and celebrate creativity and unity.

Says Elizabeth Lewis of this collection: “Lolly Snake Vase series draws from playful explorations in colour, texture, and form using 18+ glazes between the 4 small works, and 3 different clays. A circuit breaker from trying so hard to control the unpredictable medium of ceramics, they were made without the pressure of an outcome in mind, so that resulting work after firing was often a surprise. These four represent some of the pleasant surprises to come from this process, aiming to embody fun and serendipity.”
