Kevin says of his work Untitled Landscape (Dawn of Light): “I was interested in capturing what I saw on my morning commute – that moment that you take for granted and is lost in an instant. If get out early enough, the lighting is beautiful, and this work is a nod to that early morning atmosphere.”

Ever enthralled by the natural world, Kevin uses earthy colour combinations, rich textures and the rhythms of life and death found in nature to create works that conjure up traditional landscape paintings yet veer into abstraction. His paintings are a synthetic beauty, an icon of the natural world. Kevin’s work intends to evoke a dialogue with the natural landscape with an attentiveness to the present moment without being tied to the particularity of place.
