Women’s Hospital Chicago

Natalie Rosin

White stoneware paper clay + white satin glaze

27cm H x 26cm W x 26cm D

Says Natalie of this work: “Inspired by the modernist Old Prentice Women’s Hospital Chicago design by architect Bertrand Goldberg & Associates. Built in 1975, this structure was demolished in 2014.”

Says Natalie of her latest pieces in The Golden Room duo show: “This body of work was inspired by my fascination with the built environment and the architectural landscape. More specifically, those structures I’ve observed at times to be almost object-like; their form so clear and defined you could imagine lifting them up to hold and inspect as if they weren’t so towering and monolithic.”

Signed on base.
