In this work, Amy Wright focuses on the experimental use of working methods and textural surfaces, bringing together a range of mixed mediums in various applications.

Says Amy: “My muse, forever being the garden and my natural environment, is depicted in various guises. The light and essence of the garden is captured in rambunctious overtures of watery effects and drawing directly with paint. I’ve attempted to portray the quietness and calmness of the garden through sparse use of line work and a vagueness of shape and colour, which opens the painting up, giving an impression of space. As is true to the physical garden, no two glances are ever the same.”
